The terrible events from Friday's shooting at Sandy Hook have weighed heavily on all of us. I'm sending lots of love and prayers towards all those involved, if you would like to find out more about how you can help those affected, please read this heartfelt post from Nice Girl Notes that contains links to several donation sites of the victims.
Chanukah just started and Christmas is swiftly following! What I love most, more than gifts and more than food, is the spirit of joy and peace people seem to carry around during these months, but what I love secondly as much is the festive decorations! I am a blogger and lover of small space interior decor after all, it's just in my nature. Being in the blogging world it's easy to spot the trends, and this season I've fallen in love with greenery. So deck the halls, and deck the doorways, because greenery, both living and imitation, is on-trend this holiday season!
I've been brave lately and I've been chronicling some of the steps I've been taking to make my house a home, from furniture redo's like my grey end table to simple space brighteners like my coffee corner. Not every step of turning a house into a home is major step, or a major expense. Sometimes it's just a simple addition. One of the things I crossed off my to-do list was the hanging of a mirror I scored at a garage sale for $5!
For Christmas, my awesome sister-in-law bought us a six piece All Clad pots and pans set. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. We only had a couple of pots and pans that were in pretty bad shape, and we had been eyeing that specific All Clad set for a pretty long time. She gave them to us while we were visiting family in New York, and we had to pack them up in three different pieces of luggage. Once we got home and unpacked them, we both looked around our kitchen and wondered the same thing: Where are we gonna keep these things?
