It's About Time

By Blogger September 20, 2012

I've been slowly injecting the color red into our downstairs. It just started coming in organically. First, it showed up in a picture above the bar, and then we noticed my plates and bowls were red, and then finally Ryli decided to paint her bedroom red.

DIY: Kitchen Shelves

By Blogger April 12, 2012

I'm continuing the process of making my house feel like a home and that means not only adding things that I find pretty, it means creating storage space for my life. One of the areas that was particularly crowed was the breakfast nook of my kitchen. It was time for an update to make a little more space since often you can find me, Ryli (my roommate) and our two dogs all in the kitchen together. Sometimes it would get just a little overcrowded. Here's a little layout of my kitchen nook.

Mediterranean Chicken

By krys January 2, 2012

What do people say is the way to a man’s heart?  Uh hum … food.  Turns out that was exactly the way into this girl’s heart!  Round one of my boyfriend's grand scheme to steal my heart was on our third date when he prepared the most delicious Mediterranean Chicken.  It was after this meal that my carefree single life soon became a distant memory, but it turns out this amazing meal is entirely attainable for mere commoners, and not just princesses like me (wink, wink.)

Organizing Pots and Pans

By krys December 28, 2011

For Christmas, my awesome sister-in-law bought us a six piece All Clad pots and pans set. Needless to say, I was ecstatic. We only had a couple of pots and pans that were in pretty bad shape, and we had been eyeing that specific All Clad set for a pretty long time. She gave them to us while we were visiting family in New York, and we had to pack them up in three different pieces of luggage. Once we got home and unpacked them, we both looked around our kitchen and wondered the same thing: Where are we gonna keep these things?

The Junk Drawer

By Blogger February 11, 2011

We all have one, one maybe two incredibly messy drawers, one in the kitchen and one in the bathroom. I do have a sorry-looking drawer in the kitchen but my bathroom drawer is quite disturbing at the moment. I decided two things 1) the mess has to go, and 2) I need more storage room.
