I know I don't always post on Saturdays but I wanted to share a little bit of my special day with you all. Today I'm turning 25. Happy Birthday to me! Among other perks that come with a birthday, one of my favorite parts is the decorating of the party. I've had a couple of ideas for my party that I want to make sure to execute before the big event this evening.
Furniture with function is always an easy decision. Let's be honest, when it comes to making a purchase and your stuck between an ottoman for $59.99 and an ottoman that has storage inside for $69.99 what are you going to pick? The one with storage inside right? The goal of a home furnishing designer (at least a good one) is create not only something beautiful but furniture that will serve multiple purposes. For instance the conception of this particular console table is not only to sit behind a couch with lamps on top of it looking pretty but also to provide storage.
Have you been thinking about buying a new coffee table? I have had several different ones myself: heavy wooden ones, light-weight glass ones and even a handsome, off-white faux stone look. They were all great and served a purpose, but the one that I have now is not only aesthetically pleasing and goes with my current style, but it’s secret, too.
Well Halloween is over, Thanksgiving is on the way, and before you know it Christmukkah will be here with its BFF New Years Eve. What do you do with all those decorations? From the plastic pumpkins and skulls to the decorative fall leaf wreaths and the oodles and oodles of special holiday themed wrapping paper? When you're low on storage space like me you have to get a little inventive with your storage solutions for your once a year decorations!
