Moody Monday: Colorblocked Industrial

By tara March 7, 2016

Industrial style is all the rage. I mean it is everywhere. But when you find yourself picking up your 15th end table made of raw wood, rusted metal, and antique bronze hardware: STOP. Put DOWN the table. (And while you're at it, check out The New Rustic. Wink, wink.)

Like all great things, industrial style needs moderation. It keeps it cool. Keeps it sleek. And keeps you from looking like a hoarder.

Mix it up. Don’t be afraid to throw in that pop of color. The wildly printed rug. The colorblocked Chaz Bar Cabinet. Sidebar – I love this cabinet. Probably too much for my own good.

Holly & Martin Chaz Cabinet Soooo pretty. Will you please come home with me?

It's a really good-looking cabinet. And it balances oh so well with the industrial touches on the Octavio table.

Colorblocked furniture is great. But again, everything in moderation. You do not want your house to resemble the out of service rainbow.

Wait. Do you guys even know what I'm talking about?

Out of service color bars Back in the day, you did not want to see this on your TV. Now, it's part of an Apple TV Ad.

Anyway. The point is, colorblocked moderation + industrial moderation = Happy Heart Eyes emoji.

So there you have it. A little bit of the why behind the wow. Love it? Let us know @hollyandmartin #myhollyandmartin
